Flashback

Walking down the street, he saw a familiar sight. The sight in fact, was the entire reason of the short lived trip. He sighed as he stopped in front of the old house, now boarded up, and shoddy from no one living in it for years. He laughed as he remember all the good times had in the house, and those that were from way outside the house.

Taking the old skeleton key from his pocket, he walked up the front steps and put the key in the lock. Taking a deep breath before he turned the key. After hearing the faint click sound, he pushed open the door, and found himself in the foyer of the ancient home. It`s wallpaper was peeling, and the wooden floors were starting to rot. He smiled as he crossed the threshold and up the stairs to where he once lived with his best friends.

He lit a candle he found on the hallway floor, most likely from one of the many sconces on the old walls, and found his old room. It was in the newer portion of the house. He had once wanted to live in the older part, but it was mainly unexplored, and had many a dangerous beast living it.

Pushing open the age old door, he laughed as the thick layers of dust settled onto the mostly dirty floor. He was never fond of cleaning, a fact his friends knew of very well. This dust was probably still from when he inhabited this room once before.

``I never thought I`d actually see you here.`` came a  familliar voice from the hallways.

``Ali!`` He cried as he turned around. ``I had no idea you still lived here!``

``Tyler, don`t be a douche. I don`t live here, I`d be foolish to. Hawk and I moved out years ago. After that last battle...`` she stopped.

``I know, I didn`t even think I`d still be standing here. It was brutal.``

``Tyler, do you ever wonder-``

``Ali, we all wonder.`` Tyler interupted. ``There was nothing we could`ve done. We did everything we could. We both used our magic to it`s capacity. I still can`t even conjure a simple flame. It`s been years, and I`m still tapped for power.``

``Tyler, you did your best.``

``I know Ali, I know. And I guess it`s just time to leave it all in the past.``

Alicia lead Tyler out the front door and closed it. She waved her hand in front of the lock and forced it closed. ``Your key won`t work anymore. It`s best if we never come back here.``

``Yeah, I know.`` Tyler replied.

They walked down the street together, in silence. Broken only by Tyler`s cell phone ringing. It was Randi.


It was time for the reunion.
